Alta Pine — Altadena Fire Rebuild
This project began as a renovation of a property in Altadena. The goal was to rework the home and bring it to a higher standard, both in layout and overall design.
The home was about 80% complete when it was lost in last year’s fire, just as we were moving into finishes and final details.
From Renovation to Rebuild

01
Original Property & Vision
The property was owned by Sam and started as a dated home that needed a full rework. The plan was to turn it into a mid-century inspired home, improving the layout and overall quality while keeping the integrity of the original structure.
02
Design & Planning
Sam partnered with designer Patrick Maziarski to develop the design direction. The project was carefully planned with a clear vision, including layout changes, material selection, and overall look and feel before construction began.

03
Construction Phase
The home moved into construction and progressed smoothly. By the time the structure and major systems were complete, the project was about 80% finished and moving into finishes and final design details.
04
Fire Loss
At that stage, the home was lost in last year’s Eaton fire. The structure was completely destroyed, stopping the project just before completion.

05
Rebuild
After going through debris removal, insurance, and permitting, the project is now moving forward again. The home will be rebuilt from the ground up, following the same design direction, with improvements where possible, including raising ceiling heights and expanding the layout by approximately 10%.
